Fox's New American Theatre, Chestnut Street at 10th The building with a large first floor entrance which sits forward the main building. On the roof of the entrance is a large clock with an eagle at the top. A man is leaning on the roof peering over the edge. On the main building toward the top is a sign: "Fox's New American Theatre, erected 1870." On either side of the entrance are stores. On the left: "J. Theo.
